Roman Fold Shade Simple and elegant, the Roman Fold is our most popular style. The shade lays off ofthe back of the headrail and raises in soft folds. SoftRoman ™ Shade B & W Manufacturing has applied the beautiful concept of a hobbled shade to a natural shade. This shade keeps its elegant Roman folds even when lowered. A 6" Classic Valance hangs off the front of the headrail concealing the shade's hardware. Most patterns can be made into a SoftRoman ™ Shade. Note about SoftRoman ™ Shades: - The shape of the fold on SoftRoman ™ Shades can vary dramatically from almost flat-looking to very billowy. The main factor which affects the fold's shape is the choice of material. Heavy wooden patterns like Tortoise, tend to produce flatter folds while lighter patterns, like Orion tend to have more billowy folds. Edge Accents ™ help give more body to the folds. Old-Style Roman Shade A variation of the standard Roman Fold Shade, the Old-Style Roman Shade (Waterfall Style) has no valance. Instead, the shade material hangs from the front of the headrail and conceals the shade's hardware. View 157 woven wood samples!
